At maeser school starts at 7:30 am. We have a 30 min. lunch time. Then we go home at 3:10 pm. What is this? I look at schools like PG high and i'm angry that they get to go to school later than maeser and get out earlier that maeser. Then they get like 45 min. lunch break. WHAT IS GOING ON? I'm getting sick of seing my neighboorhood buddies at home watching Seinfeld when I had just got home. Man, I wish that the board would explane the reason why this is. If i remmember right, at Maeser last year we had to make up a week that we didnt have of school at the beginning of school. By the end of the year, we found out that we had made well over a week of hours at school. What if thats happening again? I dont know. i would like your insights on this though.

The Board is trying to diciplene us and set us apart from the other schools.

I seem to remember that we have a half day on Friday. How many schools have that, I wonder?
Quite a few acctually. All of the public schools in Lehi do. Besides, I'd rather get uo later and come home sooner for five days, rather than get up yearly come home late for four days and have one half day.
Because we have 8 periods a day we need to have a shorter lunch break and have longer school time overall so we can fulfill our class time, we also are taking winterim which adds to this need for extra time. Many other schools because they have A days and B days, only have four periods a day so they are able to have less time a whole day, and more lunch break, they do not have winterim though. I do agree however, besides the sensible reasons of why we have longer school...I wish we had a longer lunch break and were able to go later and leave earlier from schools. Most schools do not get out early on Fridays at 12 though...but considering that they get out at 2:15 the rest of the week and early out Mondays...it still kind of stinks!
